Reminders Of His Glory
He reminds me of His glory
In my everyday life –
In the morning,
In the evening,
In the silence of the night.
When I’m driving,
When I’m singing,
When I let out a soft sigh,
When I am in awe of Him
He reminds me of His Light.
Behind the Poetry
Are you in awe of the Most High God? He is the Creator of the universe, the Maker of mountains and clouds, the Overseer of our tender souls. He is the Way out of our dark inner world, and He offers us much hope in our afflictions.
Lately, I’ve been in awe of the way God shows up for His children, especially on the days where the clouds aren’t just in the sky, but seem to be hovering over our thoughts, too.
To know He knows what our hearts need and the moment we need it most leaves me in awe of His glorious love and mercy. To know He loves us despite our sinful, human tendencies leaves me in awe of His grace and compassion.

When I saw this cloudy mountain after a rainstorm, I had to take a quick snapshot on my phone. What a beautiful sight! (This picture doesn’t even do it justice!) I knew in my heart that God had set up that moment in the car with my husband to remind us of His glory and His might. He wanted to show us that His Light shines throughout any storm.
I hope to remind you through this poem that just because there are clouds on the outside (or on the inside of your mind) doesn’t mean the sun has completely gone away. When you place your faith in God, His Light will find a way to remind you that you are known, cared for, and deeply loved.
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 4:6 (KJV)
