He Will Not Forsake Us (Psalm 37 Devotional)

Word of Encouragement

The Most High will not forsake His saints.

It may be hard to endure right now, but let’s remind our souls that the Prince of Peace is coming. The Lamb of God with fire in His eyes is on His way. The King of Kings in all His glory will come to replace the wicked rulers of the nations. He has seen the unfair rulings and the cruel punishments against His Chosen Ones. He has warned those in danger of eternal separation from God to turn and repent.

Ultimately, it is up to the powers that be to make their choice and stand for righteousness. We all have a choice to serve the Light or to turn our backs on the Most High’s love and mercy for all.

For the saints who are witnesses of this world’s descent: there will be a Day when true justice is served. There will be a Day when we will no longer weep and no longer experience suffering or sickness. There will be Day of joy and singing. Now is not the time to lose sight of eternity.

Let’s continue to place our faith in Jesus Christ, Yeshua Ha’Mashiach, our Messiah, for He has overcome this world. He has already overcome Death. He is the Light that never fades. He is coming soon.

Let’s keep our hearts open to His love, so we will not grow weary in doing good or in sharing the Gospel. The Spirit of the Lord will carry us as we wait patiently for His return. He is with us, even to the end of the age. Amen.

Reflection/Journaling Prompts

  1. How can I remind myself in the midst of worldly conflict that the Most High God is with me and will not forsake me?
  2. Have I surrendered all my fears to Jesus Christ? What fear can I bring to the Cross today?
  3. In what ways can I bring comfort and encouragement to others who may be struggling?

Let’s pray:

Heavenly Father, I thank You that You care so deeply about Your saints. I thank You that You hear our every prayer. Please give me peace of mind and heart today as I walk in step with You. I ask that You continue to transform me into the likeness of Your Son, Jesus Christ, so I can share Your Light with others in this dark world. Today I choose to lay my burdens down at the foot of the Cross. Lord, I accept that You are in control and have good plans for my future. I accept that this life will not always be easy, but I know as I wait for Your Son’s return that You will continue to strengthen me and show me the ways I can uplift others in the midst of their trials. Thank You for Your love, protection, and provision. I will praise You in the storm, and I will praise You when my blessings come. In the Name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, I pray all these things. Amen.

May the Peace of God be with you always!
