Poem: Breath of Life

Breath of Life

The Ruach Ha’Qodesh met me

when I had nothing,

but trembling in my bones.

Oh, my soul was seeking something

I did not know could be possible.

Darkness had consumed my flesh,

the light was fleeing from my eyes.

A heavenly surprise to awake

from sleeping to breathing in

the Ruach of Life!

Yahushua Ha’Mashiach,

He gave me a sign to fight on,

to rise up like Lazarus,

to take up my bed and walk.

Whispers of doubt tried to shake me,

the grips of confusion then left me

at the sound of His arrival,

and a fire overtook me,

filled my body.

The Son of YAH,

and angels kept me

from falling into the snares

laid out for me,

like I was an animal or a beast

to be devoured.

His Spirit brought me back,

I stood up and I laughed

with great joy at the hour!

I could breathe,

and I was at peace within,

with Him,

with this new beginning.
