Poem: Soul’s Abyss

Soul’s Abyss

The Soul’s Abyss is dark and dim,

and bright and warm,

with sun and wind.

It’s filled with stars and ocean depths,

with lava streams and open vents.

It holds the light within our heart,

with liquid love and a passion’s spark.

It remembers time within vast halls,

where souls sought truth behind dark walls,

and demanded a look into the future,

for the past was no more than humor.

Deep below is a place where many

await the trials of their own suffering,

and refuse to acknowledge this one gift –

a dive into their Soul’s Abyss.
